Happy Easter!

A cute strawberry cake for Easter dinner.

Cookies made by 3 generations! My Mom, daughter and myself had a blast making these adorable little cookies for Daddy to take to work. Later, we wrapped each cookie in its own little cellophane bag and tied it with a pretty blue curling ribbon!

Sweet little cake pops to celebrate a sweet holiday!

Starbucks Anyone?

I recently came across a fellow caker on Cake Central who had made cupcakes in cups and thought I would give it a shot. I was very happy with the result and could not wait to deliver them to my Aunt. It was her birthday and she is a Starbucks maniac. Her favorite thing there is a Caramel Machiatto.. Tall, vente, skinny, non-fat, skim-milk, sugar-free, no-frothy.... Uhhmm.. You get my drift.. Let's just say Caramel Machiatto.

Strawberries & Cream Latte Cake. Moist strawberry cake made with real strawberries and topped with creamy butter-vanilla buttercream and strawberry drizzle. I got to try one of these ones and it was absolutely out of this world!

Caramel Machiatto Cake. Fluffy espresso cake topped with caramel buttercream and caramel drizzle. Mmmmm, almost as good as the real thing!

A Cake Fit For A Princess!

MY princess that is! It was my daughters 2nd birthday on March 22, how could I NOT go overboard with the cake, accessories, gifts.. Yeah, we even got her a puppy. Well the cake turned out better than I could have imagined and the puppy was a hit. I of course went picture-happy being the exuberant mother that I am. Enjoy!

Here is the picture I worked off of beside the finished dress. I was very happy with the end result.

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Sisika.. I can't believe that you're 2!
My girl also got a bike from her Nana!! She had such a wonderful birthday.
Welcome to the family, Koda!

On the blog bandwagon!

So here I am! A fresh out of the oven blogger. :D I thought I should give it a try. I haven't had anything blog-like since the deadjournal I had as a wee lass. Now onto something a little more tasty and cake related. I am anxiously awaiting, yet at the same time dreading my daughters' 2nd birthday cake which needs to be finished for Sunday. It will be a story book cake complete with Cinderellas dress and the little mice working away at it. Thank you CakeCentral for some of the ideas! Here is one of the 4 mice I will be making. Everything is fondant. :)
